[ His expression remains neutral, leveled upon her face as hers shifts from enthusiasm to uncertainty then back to the former. It's when she waves out the stone before him, offering it with an excited smile, that for a delayed moment it may seem as if his own gaze becomes distant.
A second later, he blinks, refocusing to pluck the stone from her fingers, allowing it to rest upon his palm.
It is small, light, and cool upon his hand. And, yes, sparkling. ] Its shape is unique. You found this as-is?
Yup! It's kind of wild, huh? I found a couple that were kinda wedge-shaped so I guess it must just be a thing for the stones around here but this one was kind of a surprise! It's cool though, huh? Especially now it sparkles!
[ Needless to say, she looks mightily proud of her own work. ]
I wanted to try and do a thing where you could tilt it around and the sparkles would move, like a real hourglass? But I couldn't really figure it out. So that's a project for next time, I guess!
